  First off, AMOLED or LCD are display technologies and have no bearing on touch screen technologies. Actve Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode displays have one million to one contrast ratios compared to Liquid Crystal Displays that are in the tens of thousands to one contrast ratio. Also LCDs have a slow repsonse rate in milliseconds, compared to AMOLED which is in microseconds. Capacitive touch is preferred over Resistive for screen clarity since resistive uses wires on layers that become compressed, whereas capacitive touch uses diffused oxides on glass that are virtually transparent. Both have similiar resolution capability, but capacitive touch screens need to be calibrated during design and can be finiky depending on the Human Body Model (HBM). Samsung owns AMOLED but is licensing it to Motorola, LG, and HTC. It is the premire display technology and that coupled with a crystal clear capacitive touch screen is the best you can buy. As long as the manufacturer of the phone / tablet has calibrated the touch screen properly.
