Does anyone know how to fix my Computer problem? (Blue screen error msg)?

  • The Error message says: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to be sure you have adequete disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing the video adapters. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advance startup options, and then select Safe Mode. Technical Information: STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0x805A0180, 0x0F7A7A061E4, 0x0F7A05EE0) I tried to: -Do everything it told me to, I've restarted my computer and the message still showed up and I have selected Safe mode but it appeared again. I am wondering if it has anything to do with not installing the updates when you suppose to, because when my computer was working an "Install Updates" message appeared and I never installed it. Otherwise I have no idea what to do and everytime i try to turn on my computer the blue screen with the error message appears. Please help me! and.. Explain what i can do to fix my computer. Thank You!

    If you are getting this message even when starting in safe mode, your hard drive may either be going bad, or your Operating System is corrupted. You could first try a repair install. You can do this by booting from the Windows Installation CD and choosing the Repair option. If this still does not work, replace the drive. Edit: If the Repair installation is successful, your files will still be there. This process does not erase your hard drive. But if the drive has failed you will lose anything you have not backed up.

This is a general error. It can be caused by an error in either software or hardware. I recommend you to reinstall Windows to see if that helps. If this issue reoccur, you computer need repair.

John covered it pretty much. The blue screen of death is usualy caused by IRQ allocation error, or a corrupt registry. Reinstall, and if that doesn't work, replace the hard drive.
