Cable box to LCD Monitor?

Can I hook up my Hanns G TFT LCD 19" PC Monitor to my Time Warner Cable Box, which is sitting on the floor?

If I can, what cables/setups do I need to do it? I don't have a real TV, so I need to know if I can set up a sort of temp. one! I have a Hanns G 19" TFT LCD PC Monitor and also a Hanns-G 19" TFT Widescreen LCD PC Monitor that I could use to try. Any help is appreciated, because I am paying for cable I am not using. I am not too good with this area of electronics, so I wasn't sure if there were cables or something to help. I plan on getting a 32"-42" LCD or Plasma HDTV sometime within the next 6 months, but I'm not really sure when or how. I have never shopped harder for a TV before in my life and still aren't sure what to do. In the meantime, while I save up, I wanted to see if I could use the PC monitor as a temporary TV instead. If I can, great, if the prices are within reason, I'll buy whatever I need to, just recommend it! Thanks in advance! Not sure what the heck the other end of this monitor cable could possibly plug into to make this work, but I will take any suggestions!
