How to Sharpen Monitor Image?

My LCD monitor's image flickers and jumps with a "ghost" image.?

  • I'd really appreciate some help on this. Can't find anything relevant on Google. Basically it's a monitor that I bought second hand that had been working perfectly, (a Samsung Syncmaster 191T) but now it flickers/jumps - the image on the screen flicks on and off irregularly mostly in the bottom half of the screen as though there's a second image on top of the one on the screen. The image underneath stays steady. I've updated all my drivers and changed the monitor cable and checked all the settings. Everyone I ask is stumped. Any wisdom would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Seems to me that your LCD monitor's cable could be loose. Try re-plugging it.

I have a couple of Syncmaster monitors. Both have control buttons on front which are titled Degause. What this basicly does is it refreshes the pixels that make up your screen. Unlike Refresh which only refreshes your memmory. Hope this helps you out. Andy.

Sounds like screen burn. If it's not too badly "burnt" it will fade in time. Try to avoid keeping on your screen for long periods of time, turn it off or use a screen saver.

Cable is loose on the back of your LCD. Fix it firm.
