Or is it something to do with pram settings? Its laptop

  • Answer:

No it just means that a magnetic intake rubbed up against your screen. I did this but it might not work good. If you use a small magnet, rub it against the screen once and go in opposite direction of the way the little green area shows. You will notice that A. either the fragment gets larger or B. it dissappears. Try to use little force if you chose this option because the more you press the harder the image gets. Remember keep any magnet away from statically charged items many a times this will automatically erase memory of an item on its own. All magnets even those in the thing are kept at least a distance of about 5 inches from internal screen to get it to work accurately. When shaken a little or displaced, the machinics of the machine malfunction causing a streaking effect. To know how a Television works the image is bounced off a spectrum magnet in reverse. The image is also upside down and backwards. Our brains are the only ones that see it upright. Anyways to get back to the subject, to correct the image properly which I did once, I put the TV on low settings and short glare or dark to see fully where the green part was. Then when son was little to my TV, I made him walk up to it in stocking feet and touch it. I wanted to see what effect it had. The image got smaller when he barely rubbed it and larger when he got too close and pushed on the screen and it worked for a short time. but in any case, it only disappeared when I used the magnet more then once. I some days had green while others I did not. I tried to make it dissappear. In your case if it doesnt, that usually indicates that the magenetic force that it rubbed up against caused the internal drive or coder to spark or slip causing a malfunction, which might mean it may need to be replaced. And just to answer it all depends too on how old your screen is too and how much abuse it took. If you havent had it long then I say no not right away, the screen can eventually clear by itself too. Remember dust particles on any machine can cause this because if 1. you walked on carpet for example, you are positively charging electrons causing a force that is the exact same to what is being generated from it originally making it work itself out. But if it It is like taking too long or 2. being negitively and positively charged and once you rubbed up against it with whatever material you used, you could have caused the particles to seperate causing the screen to not understand its function because it have lost its memory settings. Also little metal pieces could have pried itself loose from this. Never open the component. First try and refix the setting from the front of the screen itself and see what happens when you go to fix color etc. If that don't work, I dont know what else to say but call in a professional to look at it. Good luck!
