How do you adjust monitor screen size?

  • So, how do you guys adjust monitor screen size? I'm not talking about resolution. I'm talking about how there's a small black line on the right side of my monitor. There's also a small black line on top of my monitor too. It's kind of bothering me. My monitor is on 1920x1200 right now if you want to know.. When I press the "AUTO" button on my monitor, it kind of moves the screen but the black lines are still there!!

  • Answer:

there are many option. 1. auto resizing 2. degauss 3. manually adjusting the size. answer. 1. auto resizing. there's a button on the monitor that when you press, it will automatically re size the monitor's size. but in your case, i think it is not applicable. maybe your monitor do not support the resolution of your operating system. 2. degauss. also in your monitor, there's a menu that indicates degauss. it's symbol is like a horse shoe. just choose it and it will go back to it's factory setting/recommended setting. 3. manually adjusting the size. i think this one fits you. from the menu of your monitor, choose the vertical or horizontal adjustment (not positioning). by that, you can manually fit your desktop screen into your monitor's frame. for other questions about computer, e-mail me. It might work to change the resolution settings of the computer. Depending on what operating system you've got that is done in different ways. Below, I'll provide instructions for how to do it in Windows XP, vista and 7 (please note that I've got the Swedish versions of these operating systems, so some translations of terms may be incorrect): XP: Right click an empty area on your desktop and click "Properties". In the window that appears there are several tabs for adjusting various things. In one of these tabs, you can change the screen resolution. Vista and 7: Right click an empty area on your desktop and choose "Screen Resolution". You will now be able to change your screen resolution.

the best resolution is 1280x1024 your resolution is to high is why you get the black line and your media tv of windows 7 will show your movies full no black lines so go to resolution and go to 1280x1024

you have to go in the menu and manually adjust it.
