How do i connect my VGA cable to my monitor?

Should I be using a HD vga cable to connect my xbox 360 to my full hd monitor instead of a HDMI?

  • Hi, recently I bought a Full hd monitor (native resolution 1920/1080) for my 360. The model is the ASUS MS226H and I use the official MS hdmi cable to connect it to my 360. I am running games at 1080p, however the graphics of all the games I play look bad. I get heaps of alliasing (jaggies) and games just dont look how they should. I did some research and read something about 360's not supporting certain resolutions, how ever they do support the one which my monitor runs natively. Should I be using a hd vga cable instead of HDMI? because i read on IGN that when using a vga cable u can select your resolution. Please give me some advice, it will be much appreciated.

you can select your resolution with a vga cable but your going to want it at max resolution (1080) which the HDMI will automatically default to anyways. so in essence, it doesnt matter.

Yes, you should indeed use the High Definition VGA cable. This should increase your resolution and overall picture quality by a landslide.
