My monitor keeps getting darker?

Blue monitor cabal use and no signal message on monitor?

  • Ok well my computer keeps getting a no signal message in the middle of my screen even though in the background everything runs fine (desktop, internet, etc.) and I've been trying to get rid of the message but nothing works (restarting unplugging and plugging back in cabals) eventually it comes back. So i was wondering does anyone knows what the blue monitor cabal things is for? I currently have a white one plugged in and i was wondering if there was a way to use the blue one so i could see if it gets rid of the message? (mean the plug part of cabal is blue not cabal itself) I tried plugging it into my tower and monitor but nothing shows up on the monitor screen. any help? (with either getting rid of no signal message or using blue cabal)

  • Answer:

so you have a graphics card with two connection ports the blue is VGA (analogue) and the white is DVI (digital) both should support to 2560 x 1600 as you say you have the white DVI port connected to pc and monitor with error message if you connect the vga to vga first remove the dvi cable the monitor should auto find ,,,but doesn't always so their is a button on the monitor named source press this and it will change from dvi (white port) to vga (blue port) what you have now done is changed from digital to Analogue display the only thing you may notice will be the text ,,,will not be as sharp as the digital
