How can I hook my laptop to tv? or to HD box so I can burn DVD's saved on HD box hard drive?

I don't know whatconnections you have but my best guess would be for you to get a TV card for your laptop and use the aerial input as a connection then just playback and record. The tv is then stored on your hard drive so you can edit out adverts and burn them on to dvd. The reason I mention connections is because with a TV card you don't usually get a scart connector unless you have AV as standard on your laptop you would have to make do with the aerial connection. Obviously the data is stored on your box digitally so with either a firewire or USB port you should be able to move files as a block without playing them in real time but I am just guessing. Hope I have helped although I suspect that I have just confused you more.
