Are high resolution screens easier on the eyes than laptop screens?

Can I put e-ink on my laptop? Like a Kindle so my screen doesn't strain my eyes quite as much (hopefully)?

• I have an HP Pavillion laptop pc. It seems like it should at least be theoretically possible to make it less hurtful on my eyes. E-ink, e-paper, whatever? I'm also positive it comes on some netbooks these days. Also is it true that Kindle screens are better long term for your eyesight than regular LCD (or whatever) computer screens? I have not heard that directly, but it seems to be implied and considered to be common knowledge by most people. Is there any supporting evidence of that, or is it just hoped that is the case?

  No you can't as no one that I'm aware of manufactures monitors out out of e-ink. E-ink is used because of power consumption as it only consumes power when it changes the text but uses none to maintain it as a normal display does. As far as eyesight goes that's generally because you strain the muscles of your eyes but staring at a screen for far too long. It's recommended that for every hour at a screen you take a 15 minute break to give your eyes a rest.
