Blue tint in monitor.

Computer monitor has a blue tint to it?

  • My computer just recently had a blue tint to it (I can still see everything on the computer it is just blue) I nudged my computer and I flickered and went back to normal. Then it happened again and I tried nudging it but it just stays blue. I know it is not my monitor as it is fairly new and when I play around with my graphics card it will sometimes go back to normal for a split second. Will I have to buy a new graphics card or is it just a simple job of tightening something? Thanks in advance

  • Answer:

usually either you're not completely plugged into the computer or the monitor end of your cable is not completely plugged in. you will usually end up with a yellow or cyan(blue) cast. what you need to do is loosen the screw from the cord to the computer and move the connection around just a little an you will probably find the color change... if it doesnt' do the same procedure with the end that's plugged into the monitor... i had once recently where i had everything screwed down nice and snug but found the end of the cord made better contact when i loosened the screws a little... haven't had a problem since then and i'm using that monitor right now... other than that... it could be your cable or your graphics card but it usually isn't
