Will indirect sunlight really cause damage to an LCD monitor, or is it just direct sunlight?

Do the drapes have to be drawn across the window during the day?? And would the same apply to an LCD tv? Oops. Sorry, I guess that's more than one question...

Answer:
Turn the monitor away from the window or get a cover for it when you are not using it. It will be hard to see, in any case, if you have too much window light falling on it.
