What is the best large screen TV?

Whats the best large screen tv with what resolution to use strictly as a pc monitor?

• i would like to spend no more then $800.00 on a tv used strictly as a pc monitor, hopefully at least 32", i know i need a higher resolution, my current CRT 22" monitor, I run at 800 by 600 , which im happy with, i sit back at least 5-7 feet away. would a 1280 by 720 tv be at least as good as my current seetings?

  It really all depends on how close you want to sit to the monitor. If you plan on sitting as close as you would at a normal desk, you will want a higher resolution, like 1080p. If you plan on using it mostly from 5-7 feet away, 720p would probably be fine in the 32" and larger. The sharp really has a great picture and is much superior to the Westinghouse at a tv. The Westinghouse however is 1080p and larger for the same price. For strictly pc use I would suggest the Westinghouse. If the TV is pulling double duty, and will be used for watching tv movies I would suggest the Sharp.
