How do I minimize the 'Real Player" screen?

Is there a way to hook up a DVD player to a flat screen computer monitor?

  • I want to watch a DVD on a large flat screen but can't afford to purchase a big screen tv. How can I hook up my DVD player to my large flat screen computer monitor? Is ther an adapter I can use for this? I thought if I could hook up my DVD player to my flat screen computer monitor, I could use that as a sort of big screen TV when ever I want to watch movies.

  • Answer:

If you have a DVD player on your computer, you can do that. If you want to hook up a stand alone DVD player, you may have to buy a tv tuner (they're cheap) and hook it in to that or buy a DVD player for your computer. You're computer needs some kind of video input to use an external device, so no adapters will help if you don't have that.

You need a video capture card in your PC. Your DVD player connects to the capture card and you can watch the image on your monitor. Make sure you get a card that has the correct input ports that will work with the output from your DVD.
