Can i connect any monitor with a mac mini?

Can I somehow connect a PC monitor to a MAC mini?

  • Looking to buy a mac mini but I dont want to buy apples $800 monitor. Is there any kind of adapter or way that I can connect a $150 PC monitor to the mac?

  • Answer:

Right out of the box, the Mac Mini can be connected to any PC monitor that has a DVI port. (The Mac Mini has a miniDVI-to-DVI adapter included in the packaging). So as long as the PC monitor you are buying has a DVI port, it will work. You can also connect the Mac Mini to an HDTV using a DVI-to-HDMI cable (connected to the included miniDVI-to-DVI adapter). You can also connect the Mac Mini to a VGA-only monitor, but you will have to buy the miniDVI-to-VGA adapter separately. Hope this helps. .

You can connect any monitor to any computer. Computers will have a VGA or DVI output, which is standard no matter what kind of computer it is (mac or pc). So a mac mini can connect to any monitor just fine. Just be sure to note which connections the mac mini you are looking at has (VGA, DVI, HDMI) and make sure the monitor you are buying has the same ones! HDMI is the best quality video connection. Then DVI. Then VGA. Hope that helps!
