Computer screen turning black?

How to stop my screen turning black every minute i dont touch the computer?

  • not a screen saver, but it will just turn black.. and i have to move my mouse for it to go away.. i'm watching a movie right now so i want to relax without the screen going black

    You have it set to hibernate. Go to your power settings in the control panel.

In XP, under the Control Panel, go into "Power Options." ON the "Power Schemes" tab, choose never for "Turn off monitor," "Turn off hard disks," and "System standby.: Then on the "Hibernate" tab, uncheck "enable hibernation." That oughta do it! :0)

Either you have your screen saver or hibernation set to do that, or there is something wrong with your system. Change your settings and run an anti-virus program.

Change the setting on your screen saver to 30 mins
