Why does my monitor have a pink hue to it?

LCD Monitor colors keep going to a purple hue?

  • When I move the coord from my PC to my LCD Monitor, the colors change to a purple hue, where as if I tape the wire a certain way the colors go back to normal. It's a new 19" LG monitor, so I'm not sure what to do. It'll all fixed now that the wire is taped, but is this dangerous in any way?

    There is no real danger because the lead from the PC to the monitor is low voltage. So don't cover your desk with thick black tape. Check that the plugs at the PC and the monitor are pushed all the way in and have the finger screws tightened. If all this is OK and you still have a problem then see if you can borrow or beg a new lead or second hand lead and put that one on and see if that fixes it. If that doesn't fix it then it may be a problem with your new monitor socket or the PC socket. I am betting it is the monitor lead that is just loose Good luck

Anything that envolves Electricity can be dangerous something like tape wont be such a good idea it will work but i would use some of that black rubber thick tape and use alot of it just to be on the safe side anyway goodluck
