Is there a way to lower screen brightness?

I have the brightness on my pc screen all the way up but its still to dark is there a program that will......?

    First make sure you have the monitor settings (using the buttons on the front of the monitor) set for the highest brightness. The you need to check the brightness settings used by the video driver in Windows. Both of these will affect the final brightness. If both of these are all the way up, you might need to new converter in your monitor. Is it still under warranty? If not, then it might be best to buy a new monitor. Good luck!

how dark is it? is it dark that you can't even read the text or is it just dim? dim monitor can be caused by two things. defective monitor or a cheap monitor. and no, there are no softwares that will make your monitor brighter. if you can, post the model and make of your monitor and i'll see if i can find specs and tell you if your monitor is dim because it's made that way.

i know of a glitch like this, try right click on desktop selecting properties, settings tab, advanced button, then try to open the driver software settings so will be called nvidia something errather or ati w/e maybe your card name there, open that and get into the display settings... once you click on the brightness settings it will improve (you will have to find yours in there) Good Luck
