Help with my projector please?

Computer display problems on my projector, can you please help?

  • So I've been using my projector as a monitor for my pc for about a year and a half and my computer got a bug on the disk drive, I got my pc fixed and brought it home but for some reason my projector displays the first loading bar thing then it blanks and says no signal but my dads monitor works for the pc and the projector works for my xbox 360 using the same HDMI cable what do you think I can do to make my projector work with my computer?

    is there any software for running the projector? If so reload it. Most don't need any but it does suggest that the resolution or refresh rate is perhaps too high for the projector, try turning the res down to 800 x 600 and the refresh to 60Hz when using dads monitor, then connect the projector and see if it displays when you reboot it. If so increase the resolution slowly until it gets to either the right size or can't display any more. Check to see if there any updates for your graphics card as this may also be the issue.
