The icons in my monitor has shadows, how can i remove the shadows?

Having trouble fitting all icons on monitor?

  • Ok So I got a new TV Sony Bravia 32 inch and am using it as a monitor and it looks and works amazing for one small flaw that is that the icons fall off the monitor like you could only see half of them from bottom like half the internet explorer symbol half the start up menu so on. When i go to properties i am using 1920 x 1080 and i will put the display to medium icons than it all fits properly. But the second i restart my computer or turn off and on same problem again even with medium icons i will adjust the display icons to whatever and like magic fixed again but its very time consuming having to do this on every start up. Does any one have a solution?

  • Answer:

You need a more powerful graphics card. 1920 x 1080 is not the size of a 32 inch screen measured diagonally. 1,920 pixels wide by 1,080 high is the size of an 18 inch screen. (roughly) .

So change the screen resolution in your video properties for that monitor. EDIT: You might have to adjust both your video card resolution for that display along with the screen format and also play with the screen formats on the TV. There are hundreds of different possibilities between these 2 devices. It took me an hour to find the right combination to get the screen perfect. EDIT: The TV screen size has little or nothing to do with it.
