Xbox 360 and pc monitor sound problem.?

i have my xbox 360 hooked up to my asus vw246h monitor via the xbox vga av cable but there is no jack for the sound cables on my monitor(it does have speakers). how can i get sound to work? is it possible to play the sound through my laptops speakers?

You need an RCA-to-stereo-mini adapter to get the HDAV cable's audio jacks to work with your monitor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021058 Your monitor has a green AUDIO-IN jack into which the stereo-mini plug can fit into. It's on the connector panel in the back of your monitor. EDITED TO ADD: Don't plug it into your laptop's mic port. That is a mono input, not stereo. Like I said, plug it into the AUDIO-IN port on your monitor.
