Can I use TV Box to connect CableTV station to Laptop?

• I have a laptop which is LG Xnote LS50, high end product with powerful wireless, ATI graphic VGA, surface with all USB ports, LPT ports, DB15 port etc. I just bought a PixelView Play TV Box. I plug everything as instructed on the manual to my laptop (with TV cable of course) but there was no signal. Specifically, I plug the VGA in of the TVPlay Box to the DB15 port for VGA on my Laptop. Can anybody kindly help telling me whether the TV Play Box works with laptop, or just with LCD monitor and the like. • Answer:

  Your cable tv box is set to output on a certain channel. You will need to turn your pc tv tuner to that channel. If you want to watch your cable and tune with your PC, put a cable splitter in the line before the cable box and run a cable directly to the PC tuner. You wont be able to watch scrambled pay channels tho.
