How do you know if you have a hdcp monitor or not?
-
is there any way to tell from the back of the monitor.
-
Answer:
From what I gather, there is nothing mandatory that will give HDCP away. The DVI and/or HDMI inputs will look the same. There may be markings on the monitor itself that indicate if it is HDCP compatible, which it surely would as it is perceived as a selling point. If you are unsure if it is HDCP or not, you can try checking the manufacturer's website, or do a search for your make and model. Alternatively, you could post the brand and model here so we can check.
