How do I fix my LCD monitor?

Using a LCD as a monitor for a computer? Also how did my keyboard get messed up and how can if fix it?

  • My first question is about using a Magnavox LCD as a monitor for my computer. I have seen it been done in videos and i would like to try it out but i hear i need a few cords to hook it up. What cords do i need and how much would they cost me if i can even hook this up in the first place. My second question is small and i didn't want to post it separately because it is so easy. my keyboard seems to have a delay or something i have had this problem before but i forget how to fix it i cant press the same button twice withount a 4 second stop in between. So if i were trying to type loop i couldn't type it fast like i could dog there would be only lop if i did type it fast.?? same with backspacing or and other button

For the keyboard, have you swapped it with another and encountered the same result? If so, check control panel settings for accessibility options and maybe you did change something along the line. On the LCD, I take it this is a TV set. If so, look on the back for a 15 pin VGA connector.and an audio input. If it can be used as a computer monitor, it will have these connections and an option on the menu for selecting an input. Mine has a VGA option in addition to the "line in" on the back and the TV tuner. There are separate inputs for the audio for "line in" and VGA. You will need 1-15 pin cable with appropriate gender connectors on each end. Mine requires a male to male. for the video and if you want and have the audio input, you can take the output of your sound card and run that to the LCD. Your LCD may not have the audio input for use with the VGA option. Mine does, but yours may not. There is no standard on whether to have computer audio inputs.

About the monitor, look to see if it has a vga hook up in the back of it, also, I would recommend having a fairly decent video card, if your video card has s-video than you can use that, but you cant get sound through the speakers that are built into the t.v., but you wouldnt want to use thos anyways. If it has s-video, than you probably have a cord laying around your house somewhere or you can get one at radio shack for a couplle bucks. Now about the keyboard, unplug it and look at the pins inside the end of the green plug, see if one of them is bent. IF so straighten it out and try again. You can get a good keybaord at frys electronics or walmart for that matter for 20 bucks if its broken.
