How do I set up dual monitors with Dell?
-
Hi, I am just trying to set up my new Dell with dual monitors and I am having some trouble. The monitor that is connected into the blue VGA port will not wake up. It goes straight into power save mode. The monitor that is set up in the DVI port works fine. Here is what I have: Inspiron 537 Slim-Tower Processors Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7500 (3MB L2, 2.93GHz, 1066FSB) Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 2 DIMMs Monitors 2 Dell 20" HD Widescreen Flat Panel Display (S2009W) Video Cards ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB Is there another cable that I need or did I order the wrong stuff? Any help or suggestions at all would be wonderful!!

Answer:
Once you have both monitors connected to the graphics card, you need to go into the "Display" portion of the "Control Panel" and make sure to change the settings to two monitors instead of just one. After that, it should work fine.
