What is a good but inexpensive HD monitor?

What's the difference between a HD computer monitor and a HD tv?

  • I mean they're both HD right? why would I want to buy the much more expensive HD tv when I can just use my HD computer monitor for half the price?

The TV would have: (Analog and possibly digital) TV tuner, Internal speakers, Remote control, Internal image enhancement logic, many display options (colors, brightness, sharpness, noise reduction, and much more...), different display modes to display 4:3 content on a 16:9 screen, Presets for user settings (Movie mode, Natural mode, Vivid mode, etc.) If you only plan to connect a computer to your new screen, then by all means, buy a monitor. Otherwise, buy a TV.

ok, first you can use the HD TV as a TV and a montior, the monitor is just a monitor.

well because a HD tv come in a much bigger size...and funny enough its a TV and not just a monitor
