What is the best cable for my MacBook to connect with my TV?

WHAT CABLE DO I NEED TO CONNECT MACBOOK TO TV?

I want to be able to connect my macbook to my tv so that i can watch movies online on my tv. The problem is i dont know which dvi to video adopter i need to fit my macbook. I know i also need a hdmi to hdmi cable to fit to this plus an audio jack cable to go from the labtop to the tv, i have these. I just need to know which adopter will fit my laptop. Does anyone know which one i need?. My macbook is a 2009 13 inch aluminium.

The MacBook Mini Display Port carries both video and audio signals, so all you need is the £15 ($20) Apple Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter. You can often find them cheaper on eBay or Amazon. You will also need a standard HDMI cable to connect the adapter to the television set. You may also try a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter, in case Apple have renamed them. In 2010, the Mini Display Port became the Thunderbolt port and is now capable of being used both as a high-rate data port, as well as a video port. I hope I've been of some help.
