Why does my computer give me a headache?

Computer size problem?

OK, so, one day I put on the computer and everything was double sized! The icons and everything! I tried screen resolution and when I change the resolution to 1024x768, I goes so small that it give me a headache. And I don't know how to fix that. Also, my friends computer's have a thing at the bottom of the screen that says "100%" and they can change it to 125% and 50% and many others.. but I don't have that. How do I get it? If I put it in the wrong section, then sorry, I was kind of confused on where to put it.

try the resolution again ...lower but with 32 bit or 16 bit setting.... ... or go to the appearance tab and there should be a setting for font size... that can be altered.
