When using a dual screen setup, I can't go full screen with a dos window on one monitor.?
-
Once I hit the alt + enter keys, the window goes to full screen on both monitors. Not across both monitors but full screen on each. You get the same picture on both monitors in full screen mode. I made sure the theater mode was off in the advanced properties. I can go full screen with media player and it only uses one of the monitors. Does anyone know if there is a setting I may have missed to force the dos window to use just one monitor in full screen mode? I have also adjusted the settings in the properties of the window and the default properties. But still can not seem to get it to full screen.

Answer:
Hiya Harley, Yeah it is normal and yeah it is not. Stop using the ALT + ENT for dos based programs. Yes, I do understand, when you use the maximize, you don't get what you want So, who's the boss here? Tell the shortcut to the PROMPT exactly what you want and when. If you type "cmd" in the run box, it is time to let go of that too. Locate of create a shortcut to the Prompt, usually in Accessories. Right click on the Prompt icon and select Properties. Select the LAYOUT tab on the top of the applet. Create the l. As you can see, it is possible to create a DOS workplace that feels OK but still allows you to do work on the other monitor if necessary. Be sure to look at each setting carefully to make sure you take it all in. GOOD LUCK
