In google earth i need a higher screen resolution and so I changed it and now my screen is warped and to big?

Your resolution needs to match the type of screen you have. Resolutions are tailored for widescreen and normal monitors. I can't tell you which is which, but play around with them to find out which one works best for your screen shape.

Go into control panel then display then change the resolution. Restarting may also correct it if youre lucky...

Just close all your programs and on the principal screen right click, and properties tab, them go to settings, there you decide how do you want the scree to be.
