Why is my screen yellow?

There is a yellow tinge on my computer screen?. Does anyone know why this happened or how to get rid of it?

  • I have a compaq computer and the screen has developed a yellow tinge. I have checked the colour settings and they are all on 100% and no-one has changes the settings at all. The yellow is solid all over the screen and them sometimes it goes back to white and just flashes on and off yellow. Does anyone have any ideas?

    zzz there is 100% no link about motherboard, vga and connectivity posible (well maybe). But instead I would like you to see the damage or something that have been threated your monitor. First if you got LCD you should get to buy new one. CRT user get it to computer store.

hi this is very common in flat screen monitors (tft) this usually means one or two things :it is starting to end its life and you need to buy a new one OR there is a dodge connection in you graphics card. if you pinch the BLUE connector where your monitor goes in and then try to move it and it wobbles then it is a loose connection. You can only fix this if you have an octagonal screwdriver or take it to your local PC repairers (try to avoid PC world as they are usually the most expensive). or the the port does NOT move then you need to replace your screen Hope this helps Computer wizard

Sounds like your computers well fuked.

Loose connection in the video cable to the screen. Try fiddling with the connector. It might just be a dodgy solder joint on the connector join to the motherboard.

Check vga cable in backof monitor and pc, maybe loose, or you may have to replace. Good luck
