Help, computer is on but the screen won't show?

Computer monitor screen won't show. pls help!?

• Hey so i just only encountered this problem like 3 days back. I normally turn my computer on and when i am not using it i just switch the monitor screen off using the button at the front. However, i guess i pressed that button too many times till it didnt work that well turning on and off anymore. I solved this problem by just pulling the monitor plug at the back which connects to the CPU and reconnect it back whenever i want to use the computer again. It normally works fine when i plug the cable back. The problem started when i switched on my computer 3 days ago and i plugged the cable back into the monitor. The thing was that my monitor didn't show my desktop screen anymore. It just shows a top left signal switching from the word 'analogue' to 'digital' a few seconds at a time? Has anyone ever encountered this. Was it because i kept pulling out the plug and putting back on again? Really could use your help to solve this. Please let me if there is any way to solve this. I am using a Samsung monitor screen btw. It's pretty big for a monitor screen but i really like it. Thanks alot everyone!

  the problem is u keep plugging/unplugging the plug, you probably have to get a new monitor... and next time dont make this a habit just set the time allowed for ur monitor to sleep a little less, like 10-15 min that way u wont break your monitor
