Why does my computer screen flicker?

  • my moniter is about two feet from my tv and when i turn my tv on, the computer moniter starts to flicker. It is a verry fine flicker but it is noticible. is there any sort of component that will stop it. and no, i cant move the moniter any further from the tv because there is simply no other maner to organize my stuff.

    Electronic interference. Probably, if you lower the resolution of your desktop, the flicker will stop. I wonder if you install a metal plate of some sort between your computer and television, that the problem will go away. Try running a grounding wire to that metal plate. Try a cookie sheet.

I believe only TFT monitors flicker; LCD monitors don't flicker, I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Did you try to use other power outlet (wall jack) to connect you computer?

do as following step when your monitor blanking: step 1: power off(not just turn off your monitor), after 20s to restart. may be it is a problem caused by MCU, just reset it. step 2: if step 1 doesn't work, please power off your PC too, after 20 seconds, restart your PC and monitor step 3: chang your local computer's time to 2:00am manualy , to check if it was caused by virus. step 4: use another PC to make sure it is caused by monitor, if it really caused by monitor , just report this bug to AOC Inc after services and i think AOC will give you a good solution. It's magnetic interference, put something metallic between them and it will block the magnetic field.
