Is there any way that you can get scratches or specks off an LCD or Flat screen computer monitor?
-
I have a 19" LCD Dell flat screen monitor with small specks, when I try to pick them off with my fingernail they still stay. Also i tried using a soft cloth with some water and that put some light lines on my screen. I am wondering Is there anyway that these can be removed? I just got this computer screen and I really don't want tohave to replace it because of some specks and lines. Thank you very much!

Answer:
Can you actually feel the specks? if not they are probably dead pixels. If you have more than say, 10 of them, you should return it. If you can feel them, but can't pick them off, you might want to try some windex. Though use SPARINGLY, repeated use can discolor the LCD due to the solvents.
