How do you get a better resolution on ubuntu?

I just installed Ubuntu, and it won't let me change my resolution to 1440x900?

  • As the title says, Ubuntu isn't letting me change to 1440x900. No idea why. My video card is a nVidia GeForce 7300GT, and the resolution works fine on Windows. How do I get a resolution of 1440x900?

  • Answer:

Drivers... have you got the right ones ?? or are you using just the default driver?? check nvidia website for latest ones for your graphics card....
