Why does my computer display is so bad and uses only 16 bit/colors?

I am using a dual o.s win xp and win me the display for xp is just ok but when i switched to me the display is very poor and says that there is an input/output and irq conflict I am using a ati 950 vga card?How can I fix the problem?

This problem may occur due to program conflict by the two os's. Try installing your video graphics driver once more, this may solve you problem..

try uninstalling and then reinstalling the video drivers.

Try going to Display Properties>Settings and change the Color Quality to 32 Bit(Highest)
