    The LCD monitors differ in the obvious fact that they are thinner. LCD = Liquid Crystal Display. This allows it to be thinner. The CRT monitor uses a tube much like the old style TV sets. The most common I/O devices are Keyboard & mouse, disk drives [floppy disks - CD/DVD drives]. Hope this helps. Glenn
