I hooked it up to one of my older flat screen moniter. everything works fine, till i watch videos on fullscreen(youtube). When i watch videos in fullscreen everything goes black. I tryed turning off the moniter and turned it back on, but nothing happens. So i have to then do a hard shutdown on my comp. then its fine, till i watch another vid on fullscreen. need help please

  • Answer:

Can you watch the videos the regular way, in the browser window? If not, you might be missing a flash program or something. Try looking for updated drivers for your video card, and download a fresh copy of Adobe Flash player, and a fresh copy of Java, and see if that helps. Note, if you have flash already installed, and want to see if it's corrupted (just happens sometimes), use the removal tool from the Adobe site (free download), clear the old one, and download from scratch. Once you know all that is up to date, see first if you can play the videos not in full screen. If you can, and they still don't work full screen, contact your computer manufacturer for more ideas. Would recommend contacting YouTube, but they really don't have much in the way of support. I am using Windows 7 on my laptop, and can play the YouTube stuff full screen, so I can tell you that it can work. Hope this helps.
