How do I get past the computer lock?

How to you get your computer monitor off of Power Button Lock Out?

My computer has been on Power Button Lock Out for a week now. I don't know if I bumped something. I've unplugged my monitor and it didn't do anything. Still on lock out. I press on the power button to shut it off and I get the white box saying Power Button Lock Out. Any computer smart person out there that can help me? Please. I have been ignoring it but its starting to annoy me. Is there a way out of it or does it mean I need a new screen again. After all this one is fairly new yet.

I googled it found this http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Monitors-and-Video/Power-Button-Lock-Out/m-p/1083625#M15722 press and hold the power button for 10 seconds if that doesn't work unplug the monitor and press the power button for 30-60 seconds then plug monitor in again thank google not me
