How do I update my graphics display driver to use my TV as a monitor again?

  • I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 running Windows Vista Home Premium. Recently I bought a VGA cable to convert my LG 42" LCD tv into a second monitor to watch shows and videos better. At first it worked fine, plug-and-play, and the display quality was great. Now it won't even switch the display to the tv when I plug the VGA cable in. The tv is in the correct setting still, and I haven't changed any settings on my computer. When I try to go to my windows display settings it says: - The currently selected graphics display driver cannot be used. It was written for a previous version of windows, and is no longer compatible with this version of windows. So what changed? What can I do to update my graphics display driver? Are downloads available for this type of thing online?
