Windows 7 screen resolution problem?

  • Im haveing problem with windows 7 screen resolution. I recently updated to Windows 7 Ultimate from XP. When i go to the screen resolution page its stuck on 640x480 and it says i have a generic pnp monitor on standard VGA Graphics adapter. If anyone has the same problem can you help me out. Do i need a new driver or what? Im not good with computers and what to do on fixing problems. I reinstalled the drivers and updated them and still nothing worked, I thank everyone who has already tried helping me b4. I have a dell dimension 3000 computer. i have 2GB of ram. If theres no solution then am i stuck with this problem? Thank you

    ok.. simple problemm.. Right click your mouse.. select screen resolution option. in the resolution section, select the desired size... And you are done...
