Can I get HD quality through my PC input on my TV?

If I plug my laptop into my tv, will I get pc gaming in full HD resolution?

  • I was thinking about getting into pc gaming now that I have my laptop connected to my full HD tv. If I get pc games and turn down the settings so that the games play smoothly on my laptop, will I still get full HD resolution on my tv the way I do with my laptop connected to the tv with the hdmi?

    It depends on your TV. First check your TV specs if what resolutions and if it is compatible of Full HD resolution. Almost all TV (LCD and LED) have that.

Well if you are using a VGA or RGB cable it might depend on the quality but no not really so yer i used to play games on my TV with a laptop and used a HDMI which is HD but if your game and graphics card on your laptop is HD then any cord will do the job :) Hoped this helped :) Cheers Harry

For 1: hd isn't a resolution Can u laptop handle 1080p in gaming??? Also a tv usually doesn't look as good as a monitor cuz the pixels are bigger and not as true to the color opposed to a monitor, I rather play bf3 on my monitor that is only 1050p than my Sony Bravia cuz it just looks that much better. So unless u have a crummy laptop the lap will most likey look better
