Windows 7 screen resolution problem?

  • hi, i just upgraded my laptop to windows 7. since then everything on the screen seems to be zoomed in and alot bigger. ive gone to the control panel and changed the resolution but the screen still is zoomed in. how can i fix this? i have a toshiba satellite a100

  • Answer:

If you have set the resolution to what you want. then it is probably the size of the desktop icons that are too large hold down Ctrl and then scroll up or down to change the icon size. If you can't get the resolution you want then try updating the graphics drivers

Windows 7 has not detected your notebook's graphics card properly. Did you actually check if your laptop supports windows 7? Toshiba doesn't list Win7 drivers for your model. Go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU&selCategory=8&selFamily=192&selSeries=236&selProduct=701&selShortMod=null&language=13&selOS=null&selType=null&yearupload=&monthupload=&dayupload=&useDate=null&mode=allMachines&search=&action=search&macId=&country=null&page=2&nextCl=true&startPage=1 and select your exact model number, and download the appropriate Vista driver for your notebook and install it.

I'm not sure but I think your laptop doesn't support or unable to use Windows 7 or maybe your taskbar and Icons are huge.
