How do you clean crayon off of a television screen?

Does anyone know how to fix a damaged television screen?

  • We received a television from a friend and we then found that when we turned the television on, there was a big dark path along the side and across the top of the screen. It looks really tatty! I have cleaned the screen to make it look better but nothing helps. I would like advice as to what I do next! I'm not happy with my friend that I have received a television that has a damaged screen. My brother refuses to use a smaller and thicker television because he thinks it's too old fashioned! I need help!

  • Answer:

maybe your tv has an auto adjust funtion try that one otherwise you'll have to replace the tft/lcd or the complete tv.

That's dead pixel. You need to get the LCD screen replaced. It could cost a lot. Search ebay or amazon for parts and price. By the way, it was too ungrateful not to be happy receiving a gift from your friend regardless if there's a slight defect. He may have given the TV away because he found it uneconomical to have it repaired but you should still appreciate it. Otherwise, return it to him and say you also can't get it fixed. He might find somebody more appreciative of the thought.

You have two choices. Replace outside panal or get new TV.

The screen could have been damaged when it was moved. Replacing the screen would be the only option. Tell your brother to do without, use what is available or buy his own.
