Can I get HD quality through my PC input on my TV?

Should i buy a 20" hd to use as a pc monitor & for tv & 360 or get a pcm & a tv seprate,pc is for gaming most

VGA won't look as good as DVI, end of story. I would get two separate screens if that is the case.
