How to use a laptop monitor as a second monitor for a desktop?
-
So... I want to use my desktop only... but hook my laptop to my desktop, only to use the laptop screen as the second monitor. My laptop is a HP DV7-1260us. My tower is a HP a6803w with a PNY GeForce GT430 video card added. So there are 2 VGA hookups on the back of my tower and 1 HDMI. On the laptop there is 1 HDMI and 1 VGA.. So this has to be possible right? I want to do this so i can stream gaming content better. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks!

Answer:
Nope, the laptop screen is driven directly by the laptop video, you cannot feed video into a laptop's screen from outside.
