Why is my vga attached monitor not listed in Device Manager?
-
I have an Inspiron 9400 32 bit vista home premium with ATI mobility radeon x1400 graphics. I installed ATI's Catalyst Control Center and my LG tv is identified. I'm using it as #1 in extended mode. But my LG tv is not listed under Monitors in Windows device manager. I have two identical monitors listed as generic PnP Monitors! So I get Edid checksum errors and other crazy stuff. Everything works great when it works. Thank you in advance anyone with ideas for me. Meanwhile I'll keep looking and doing my daily resetting of the display. thank you from a long suffering Vista Victim. marty
