I have some technical problems with my external display.

Problems with my computer's color/display =/?

• About a week or two ago, when I started up my laptop, I noticed that everything turned bright. Like, bright with a light tone, or something like that, which, of course, meant that all of my display became extremely bright, to the point that portions of my computer's display became "messed up". When my computer first loads, the color is good, until it's almost done with loading startup programs, at which point the color gets all messed up. I'll put a screenshot of my desktop in order to better explain ... http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/8268/desktopbu.jpg Notice the black/white tone on the desktop (the original display is much, much sharper, especially the person on the desktop, sharper in both colors and details). I run with vista service pack 1, and I've tried every single thing I can think of in order to restore the color. I've tried to adjust the those little buttons on my computer (the circular button that seems to represent a "sun", if you know what i mean), tried to change screen resolutions, etc, and it just won't change. I routinely fix registry errors too, if that matters at all for my problem... Big thank you to whoever can help me solve this problem! I think eventually if I can't fix this I'm just going to reformat, or something, because this display is really, really irritating =/

  Could be the video card or drivers. Try updating or reinstalling the video driver first.
