Does a larger frequency on a baby monitor extend its range?
-
We have a new baby and very large 3 story house. The baby monitor has a 150 meter range and 2.4 GHz frequency. The monitor goes out of range just a few feet before our bedroom. If I get a baby monitor with a greater frequency, will that increase the range so it'll reach? Our bedroom and the baby's room are within 150 meters of each other, but we think it's the very thick walls/floors that are interfering (we're on the 1st floor, the baby is on the 3rd floor). I'm not sure something longer than 150 meters will solve the problem, since we're already within that. I'm thinking we just need a stronger frequency so it can go through the walls? Does frequency work like that?
