Why wont the power save memo go away- blank screen on monitor and computer beeps- whats wrong! ?

power save memo on monitor screen -changed battery on mother board- didnt help still blank screen and computer beeps 4-5 times when turned on, was working fine before- all of a sudden out of the blue it did this!!! any ideas ????? without taking for repairs?

Your monitor is entering power-save mode because it is not getting a connection from the computer. Your computer is failing to pass the POST (power on self test) the BEEPS tell you what is wrong. Look up your brand of computer and the codes for it to find out what is wrong.
